Gun Cases

    One thing that I do not like about my new gun is that it did not come with a case. I looked on their (Bersa) web site and I read some reviews about the cases that they offer and I think that I want to stay away from them. What are some good alternatives to consider?

    Good gun shops and sporting good stores that carry pistols will usually carry them. Plano is a good brand

    I like to use a plain attache case,put foam linning in it. Doesn't tell the world you've got firearms and carriess guns and ammo and earmuffs.

    OlBill picked up this small storage box from Harbor Freight. I looked at it and thought what a great idea when going to the range. I picked one up to, the best part was they are under $30.00

    Where the pliers are I put the Mags and other small tools and the box has removable and adjustable compartments. Makes it perfect for carrying boxes of bullets and pistols separately.

    What I am looking for is one that has the dug out for the specific gun like what Ruger supplies with their guns. Are there aftermarket gun cases like this or is that a manufacturer specific thing?

    These are what the Springfield guns come with. Everyone of my XD guns come with a case like this all form fitted.

    I showed a gun case that you can get but it is not the cut out type like my XD cases are. You may have to do a search on line for your pistol or contact the gun manufacture for your gun. I really like the way Springfield puts theirs together.

    Another real good option is what is called a Range bag. Blackhawk makes a very nice one.

    Most are going to the cardboard box
    LGS prefer them as they stack better, easier to
    inventory etc.

    Sig is famous for the Blue Box, all of mine have come
    in blue or now black boxes for the 938

    The standard ones don't they have the foam
    but it's not cut..

    Smith is also a cardboard box. My Ruger 1911 came in a nice cardboard box but my Ruger SR9C came in a real nice plastic box, black. All the Springfield s still come in the best plastic box I have seen.

    Hmmmm

    All my Springfields come with 2different size clios, a case , holster,clip holder,cleaning brush lock
    And all, but you don't like pistols that are plastic

    I looked at this Range Bag and I do like it but not really what I am looking for. That does look handy for when going to go go shoot, hence the name...

    got a flyer in the mail from Cabelas, had some hard pistol cases in there with the foam inside, might check their web site out.:D
