Got a real good buddy that bought some Winchester 9mm ammo.
He took his 9mm Glock to the range to shoot it.
He shot it and it jammed. He couldn't get the shell out.
Took it to the front counter and they looked at it.
The lead had jammed in the barrel.
He took pictures and used a punch to drive the lead out of the barrel.
The guy at the shooting range, where he DID NOT buy the ammo said contact Winchester and send them the pictures.
They will ask you to send them the ammo and th bad bullet and you will git a lot of bullets for free.
I have never seen this happen.

I've been hearing of bad reports from Winchester white box ammo but nothing like that. Ask him if he bought it from Wally World?

Yep he did. It was on sale. He also bought it for his 45 S&W got like 100 rounds for like 28.00 and shot all of it with no problems.

Shoot enough and it will happen. I've had duds in 357c, .45c, 7.62mm, 5.56mm, many in .22c. Only my 30-06 has never jammed by dud. Today's factory ammo is way more reliable than the stuff we shot 30 years plus ago, though.

A dud in the barrel is not a tough problem to deal with, it is when you don't catch that it happened that bad things can (but not necessarily will) happen.

    It was not a Dud.
The glock shot. The lead went into the barrel and got STUCK.
Like the lead was too large.
That is why he had to take a punch and punch the lead back in the chamber with the brass casing.

The white box ammo at Wally World is cheap ammo. I don't buy it. I usually buy the Federal cheap sheet but don't have a problem with it.
100 rounds for 28.00 is very cheap for sure. I also buy bulk ammo at gun shows and it shoots pretty good. My last buy was for 500 rounds of 9mm for 99.00.
There is a gun shop here that is selling FMJ 9mm ammo for 10.00 for 50 rounds and it seems to shoot very well.

Probably a round with no powder or partial powder. That just happened to a friend when we went shooting a couple of weeks back. Was a factory load but no powder and the round went partially out loading its self just barely into the barrel. Could not rotate the cylinder, he had to take it home and he used a rod then poounded the round back down into the casing. There was no powder in it. The primer had enough to just partially push the round up. Like Red said most modern ammo is pretty good.

When I was at ft Jackson
    We has reloads for m-16
You shoot the m-16 it would pop and not kick
You take a rod and push our the round
    In my buddys glock
    The round got stuck
You couldn't push the lead out
It was wedged in the barrel
He had to take a punch and a hammer and drive it back in
He said it was like the piece of lead was too large for the barrel

I used to (20yrs.ago) shoot quite a bit. pistol and trap leagues plus hunting rifle and .44mag.revolver. I always re-loaded all my ammo. Saved enough to shoot 3xs more for the $. NEVER had a squib or dud. Best ammo you can use is the ammo you assemble yourself. Time spent at the re-loading bench was nice quiet alternative from boob tube. Now it looks like I'm about to start again in .45acp

Buddy had a squib in his 9mm Barfetta 92fs...

They just tapped it out, barrel is harder than the lead
good thing he didn't try and fire it again.

he'd probably gotten a Glock Kaboom
