Well Sig got my P250 compact back in
great working order 300 rounds not one FTC

So I bought some additional parts for it. If you don't
know the P250 platform it was designed with a moveable FCU (fire control unit) that is the gun, you can change size and caliber easily so
I picked up a Full size frame and 9mm upper, a 40 Sub compact Upper and a 357sig drop in barrel (fits the 40 and uses the 40 mags)

I have a spare compact frame/grip and cut the dust cover back
so the sub compact upper will fit, probably do a bit more cutting
using a band saw but this was done with a fine tooth mini hand saw.

Here are the three sizes, 9mm full size, 40 compact and my 40 "Super Sub Compact" Now the Super Sub uses a compact frame which lets me use my compact mags holding 13 rounds (more power) and a longer grip fits my
hands better. I still might order a sub compact frame but for now this works.

Now the compact 40 back to back to the Super Sub Compact

Below is the whole gun disassembled the FCU is the trigger assembly that you move from combination to combination. The FCU is the registered gun part.

I also picked up a 357sig barrel that drops into the compact for
    another round combination.

Think I'll pick up a 9mm sub compact upper for my daughter
to shoot, smaller hands and less recoil.

Yeah believe it or not that's ONE gun, the FCU, all the other stuff
are the bits you can buy to make up new guns from Sig.

I got two new uppers, 9mm FS and 40 Sub Compact $150 each
One lower FS frame $20 two FS mags $35 each not really too expensive

Would like to get another FCU so I can keep my Super Sub ready
to carry and then have the spare to just build range guns with.

That is a nice simple handgun, but it can't match the stopping power of a .45 ACP.

I still have my original service 1911 Colt .45 that saved my bacon many times when my M16 was not usable in very close combat. It made sure the threat was eliminated.

40's have plenty of power, 9mm is fine in Urban settings, in combat situations with armor the 45 is jmo better, I do like the 1911, and will get one soon.

However and it's JMO in defense situations it's highly likely that you
will have a short time to reach and you need all the advantage meaning
less steps to get to the gun and fire. That's what this P250 does, with DAO it's
    just point and pull..

BTW you can get the P250 in 45 if you want, it's available in 4 calibers, 45, 40, 9 and 357 Sig, I'd like to see it in 10MM as well.

I can carry in 357 Sig too, and that round is a beast, a very close bullet to the 357 magnum with 1700 fps velocity and the hit of the 9mm (it's a 9 in a necked down 40 brass) is prefered by a lot of urban LEO,

Damn thing goes through the car door, the perp, the other car door LOL
you need to punch a hole in body armor? 357 Sig..

I didn't know there was a 10mm.... A .45 hits like a sledge-hammer no matter if wearing body armor. Lifts them right off the ground. We even used special 300-gr. hollow points, and when in running combat, you kept it cocked all the time. Later, we had the armory make us double-action triggers with a 2 lb. pull so the hammer spring pressure didn't go soft.

That reminds me, when we were using the gov't loads back then, they had the same 300 gr. jhp bullet that later became known as the .454 Casull. It once stopped a grizzly bear coming up to ambush me from behind while in Alaska. That is an awesome gun.
