Congratulations, we have made a lot of friends in HOG. Just be careful that they try and make you an officer to soon. Was a lead Road Captain for 8 years and had a blast. :D

Congratulations JB, we belong to 2 HOG chapters, both are good groups of people, just remember HOG is not a club it is a group, less rules and you can hang with whom ever you please. Get to know the people, then get involved. I was a Road Captain for 7 years and that is a good way to get to know the other members and non-members, ride and work the poker runs. lots of fun.

I think that I will. I would enjoy it more if I would be able to get out of working every weekend. Kim will like it a lot I am sure. She isn't a H.O.G. member but I think I m a going to hook her up with Ladies of Harley.

Are you still having issues with your chapter?

Next Tuesday is our chapter meeting. I am stepping down as the Treasurer. The women that was appointed by the dealer to be the new chapter director is the opposite of a male chauvinist some of the guys may walk if she stands there and says women rule or women power as she so often does.
The majority of the chapter is made up of men and some are very concerned. She has appointed another women to be the new Treasurer and soon all the officers will be women. Sorry if I might offend any women here but a overbearing over powering women is just wrong for a bunch of men Harley riders. She calls herself Mz Bling, short for the bling queen.
I'm not against a women being the chapter director just not this one. She cozyied up to the store owner and got her way. The old chapter director who was there for 11 years, the assistant director and another guy close to the Harley store owner did not recommend her and I understand we're upset by her appointment.
I'll see what happens but the nice thing about HOG is you can belong to any chapter you want. Several of us have already been invited to another local chapter.

I feel your pain, the director at PPHOG just resigned last Friday and the dealer appointed a woman as the new director, and she is a bit over bearing, we'll see how that works out. The OL and me are involved with the Southern Colorado HOG Chapter in Pueblo so it may not affect us much.

Our HOG experience for many years was very positive. It's just this women that is hard to deal with and may lead to many of us guys leaving for another chapter.
