We rode "The Snake" today and my wife actually took some pics "on the fly".

cool pics and for those that haven't the pleasure maybe you can get some more saddle time and this summer and fall of the same area, if its that nice in winter bet it's really cool in the fall.

Pics look good, she will never have nothing to do on the back again. Better have a big memory card in the camera LOL!

Believe it or not, it's an older Sony Mavica that will use either a stick or 3 1/2" disk. She sure gets in a big way when taking the pics though. We were getting ready to go into a curve and at the same time she was getting ready take a picture. As I was taking the bike in the lean in one direction, she decided to take the pic off the other side. Fortunately the Ultra is not hard to pull back. I'm just happy she enjoys the ride and feels she can relax enough to take the photos.
By the way, how you doing now BluePearl?

In the summer months it's nice because after you get in the mountains it's about 10-15 degrees cooler - although I'd really like to have some of the summer heat right now. Sort of rainy today. I thought about washing the bike. The rain would have done part of the rinse for me.

Nice pictures. I'm jealous that you got a ride in. It'll be a while before I can get my bike past the glacier separating the barn from the road. :(

    Nice pics.
It reminds me that I need to teach my wife to do that more often.

They also remind me that I have it on my bucket list to get back east and ride the colonial states.

I'd like to come out your way and ride costal highway 1. I driven it several times but never ridden. Beautiful area.

I heard about the snake when I was down there to ride the DRAGON - but didn't find out just where it was at.
Would it be worth the effort to sidetrack and run it when I get down that way this summer?
    jus askin!

It's about 1 1/2 to 2 hours up I-81, get off at exit 69 on hwy 394 and then about 15 miles to 421 (The Snake). Set your Garmin (here we go) for Shady Valley, TN with a via in Blountville, TN and that should do it. If you decide to do it, give a yell. It's a beautiful ride - but then I'm biased. Once you get to Shady, the food at the Country Store is great and the bikers ready to talk if you want to.:)
