Well my buddy came and got his 12 tone Harbor Freight press back yesterday.

I was looking in a Bagger magazine and seen a 20 ton Harbor freight press for sale with a coupon for 149.99.
Called Harbor freight yesterday. They said they had the press in stock.
Asked them to check everything on the coupon. The dude said the coupons are good for months.
So I got up this morning and drove 50 miles to Harbor freight. Had the 20 Ton press at the front counter with other things I had copped. Tie straps and some pry screw drivers.
Showed the lady the Coupon ad in the bagger magazine.
She said I'm sorry, the ad is expired. What !
It had been expired 4 days.

Its no good. I said I talked to a dude last nite and he said it was good not to worry.
She calle the manager. The manager said the best thing I can do is give you 20% off.
    NO!
That is not no where as good as the ad price.
A person in the store tried to give me his 20% off coupon.
    No thanks SIR.

I got on the horn with the 1800 Harbor freight and was telling them what happened.
And I wanted to talk to a manager. He said I can ship this to you but it will be 89.00 Freight.
I said I'm in front of the store at the address I was at.
He said I can give you a number and you can get it for the ad price.
Hold on sir I want you to talk to the people in Harbor Freight.
By the time I walked from the parking lot back to the store .
I walked up to the lady and said talk to this man with the main store.

The lady said I don't want to talk to him, I will sell it to you for the expired price.
I told the man on the phone Thank You for your help. Now they are gonna honor the original price.
Don't know if somebody had already called or what.

This is a great press if you ever have to press the bearing out of the hub on yer clutch basket.

    And it was silver.

    Here is the press

Persistence pays off. Good job. Most people wouldn't have kept pressing them to honor the ad. And that's a great tool to have. I only have to drive a half mile to use my buddy's press.

    No what is a fact.
Is if I call you on the phone. Give you a sales add in a biker magazine and the code and all. And you tell me its good. The stuff never expires. Then I say make sure I live 50 miles from you. I get 14 miles per gallon in my diesel 4x4.
Don't let me drive there and tell me it ain't no good.
Then I get there and you try to jerk my chain and say the add is expired.
You might of jerked a chain and wasn't aware of what was gonna happen from the jerk.
I ran a business for 19 yrs. I know very well how to call corporate headquarters and jerk other chains. Then when Corporate headquarters calls your store. You might not like what you find out.

My bottom line is I look for results. Not excuses.
And if you are running a scam , and trying to pocket the extra monty, you might just get busted from jerking my chain.
