I Don't Know About Every One Else, But Why In The Heck Harley Puts All This Alum On The Bike And It Seems It's Always The First To Oxidise Or Fad. Is It Polished Then Clear Coated. For Example The Fork Lower Legs, Rocker Covers. And Why Powdercoat A Moter Gray Or Is That Too Some Kinda Finish, Primary Covers For Example. Just Wondering If It's Just Me Or If Anyone Else Has This Problem.

I Have Very Little Chrome Myself. For The Most Part I Paint, Or Make My Parts Out Of Stainless. I Plan On Painting The Case And Lower Legs Come Winter.

    TRG,

If you haven't tried it already, try some of that marine boat wax. I don't know about the salt limiting factor, but that stuff DOES make spilled gasoline bead up...so it can't be THAT bad, yanno?
