Don't know why Harley don't put good seats on their bikes when you buy them.

Borrowed a Buddy's new Sundowner seat yesterday. It had a good riding position and was wider and more room.
But it was kinda HARD. So that seat is OUT.

Has anybody tried the Hammock Touring Seat . Is it any better.

Got a Mustang on Lois Bike. She hates it and I hate it.
GAry had a Mustang touring seat on his last Electra Glide. He left and went to Daytona, he got cushions to go over it before he came back. Said it was tooo hard like me. I think he hated it and so did his girlfriend.
Think he let it go with his last bike too.
    No mustang for me.
Bought the last mustang seat I will ever buy.:banghead:

I'm on a Sundowner, had one on the WideGlide too. You can get 'em too soft, and loose the support, but then everybody's butt has it's own idea. Personally, I'd like to try a Road Sofa. Just the $$$ that stops me.

My stock Harley seat is a pain in the ass. Looking for a replacement now. Will probably be either Mustang or Corbin. The Mustang on my Wide Glide is great.

I do agree. Considering the price of a touring bike, it should come stock with the best seat on the market. Harley has been around a while. You'd think they could get it right.

Harley wants you to buy another seat, hence bad stock seats, (usually). The Mustang was good, better than stock, but not so wonderful I'd rush to buy again. Funny, the most comfortable seat I've been in was the stock HD seat that cam with the Dyna Custom. Those who bought the Street Bob, got a little solo seat. My friend had bought the stock two-up HD seat, and gave it to me, and it was fantastic, so not every HD seat sucks. Look closely at some on your friends bikes at HOG rides cardboard, maybe something unexpected will work for you.

    This one...

    I"ve always replaced the seat,
however I' liked the stock 09 RG seat, never had a problem
rode it to NC and back in one weekend about 1600 miles
    not one sore spot...

Had a tear and they replaced under warranty, upgraded to
09 CVO seat, little lower and wider...

    Still very comfortable..

I've Iron-butted on my Mustang seat (with backrest), and can honestly say that the seat was more than comfortable enough and I never even noticed any backside issues. Hand position on the bars was far more a factor, and my new mini-apes (14.5 inch) have made riding my 'King better than my couch. Seating comfort is much more than just how much padding is in the seat, otherwise we'd all be riding sofa cusions.

Have a Sundown here and think it is great, took a few hundred miles to break it in, butt :D is great now.
wife has a Badlander, hard as a rock and to narrow for me, had it hanging on the wall for several years, then she decided to try it out, she seems to like it, we are going to California in a few weeks we'll see if she still likes it by the time we get home.

CB, what you got hanging off your right hip. Maybe taking your cell phone off and putting the wallet that's pushing on your butt would help. I really like the stock seat on my 2011 Limited. Think its the best touring seat Harley has put on a bike. If I had to buy another seat it would be a Mustang seat, had two on previous bikes and thought they were great. :)
