I am thinking of trading in my harley dyna low rider for a smoother ride with a heritage deluxe classic. Any thoughts?

I've never taken a Deluxe out for an extended ride so can't comment on how smooth they are or not. I thought the newer dynas were smooth enough. Depends on your riding style. I'd guess the big tired bike would make for a more relaxing ride

I have a Heritage softail Springer and thought it sits pretty low but when I sat on a Deluxe that bike sits really low. Like Sleepy have never rode one but love my Softail Heritage Springer.

Deluxe and Fatboys very low. For hwy riding I vote for the rubber mounted engine. Much smoother at speed where the balanced engine gets a very slight vibration.

Go to a Demo days and take a Deluxe for a ride, maybe try a Road King out too...
See if either have the ride you're looking for...

If they hadn't come up with the Ultra Low I was looking hard at the Heritage Softail Springer, a fancy version w/ saddle bags and windshield of the Deluxe. My only concern would be that if you will ever endeavor a windshield or storage get the Heritage Softail.

I rode the Heritage Softail Springer to a motorcycle show called the one motorcycle show and was glad I had the storage bags. Even though it has the soft storage bags it can hold my jacket and gloves and put a helmet lock on the bag guard and secured the helmet. Felt good getting that bike out again putting down the road and to the show in Portland.

I find saddle bags are like the boot of a car. Good to have.

Yep, hard to argue with that. I don't like the look of them hanging off the Sporty, but I sure like using the stuff they hold, like extra sweater for cool nights, camera for pics, spare money for meals and gas, maps for us non GPSers out there...
