help! I need help from a smarter brain than mine! my sporty just all of a sudden got a mind of it's own and it seems to be smarter than me too!i have a good 1st gear then when i go for 2nd all i get is neutral . i did notice that my scoot wanted to roll forward when i pushed the start button. i hoping it might just be my clutch is wore out, i just don't know and don't want to tear it down untill i get a little knowledge from someone who might of had this same problem and knows what i'm up against.i just checked the clutch pack and clutches looked good but every steel was blue like it got realy hot . i've always changed my oils (engine and primary)i've used lucas oil in the engine and hd primary oil in the primary. i don't know if the steels being blue would change the replies that were sent via e-mail. thank you bros for the info and please forgive me if i seem like i don't believe that the fork might be the problem i;m just wondering if the blue steels could change things .anyway if that what it turns out to be thanks and may you be blessed with fresh air on your next ride,(fresh air is getting hard to get now days)

Sounds like something inside the tranny broke. If it's anything like a big twin type trans. I'd be looking at the shift pawl.(rotates the shift drum)

I would start by looking in my service manual in the trans section , if you pulled s hard shift/ speed shift you might have bent a paw/ shift fork
