Harley stage 1 install

    I recently purchased a Harley stage 1 download Cartridge from e-bay. I was wondering how to install it. Do I need a harness or what. Someone please help! My bike is a 01 Deuce 88B F.I.

    i am not familiar with the different down loads available for fi bikes, but there are some on here that are gurus!!!! and they will be along shortly. one thing that i am concerned with is if the download is removed from the "box", can someone else use it???? hang in there, someone will answer your question, and maybe mine also....:)

    is this a stage one dowmload like when the stealer "flashes" your ecm programing? or is it something to do with a "sert"?

    The cartridge is actually the programmed fuel and timing curves which require a scanalyzer, a Harley Tool that they don't sell to the public. So you are forced to go to the dealer to get it loaded into your bike. The cartridges are a one shot deal, so I hope someone didn't already use the download and sell you one that doesn't work. The bright side is H-D made all of the carts obsolete so there are alot of them out there for sale and I hope you got yours from an honest seller
