Harleys tracking problem???

    I bought an 06 Heritage Softail Classic. It pulls to the left. The dealership
    tells me this is normal for the big V-Twin. So does the HD customer service
    Rep.. Does anyone else have this problem? They just tell me not to take my hands off the handle bars and it will go straight. Daaa!!! I owned several older Harleys, and they all tracked true. Is this just a new problem Harley is having? And why are they triing to cover it up, instead of just fixing my problem.:mad:

    no they do not pull.......after a bit of time you are going to experience odd tire wear.....the bike needs to be put on a stand and laser checked for tracking......maybe your stealer ship doesnt know this. it is in your service manual.........over there on the shelf.........next to your fridge...........;) lol it explains the process of getting the tracking straight. also, a friend of mine pulled to the right, ended up being the hub off center of the rim by about 1/4 inch......show the stealership the service manual......

    No I have a 06 deluxe and there is no pulling Left or right.
    I would say they just don't want to deal with it.

    Bull S%$#!!!!!!!

    I have been riding Harleys for a long time. My latest ride is a 2006 FXDI Dyna Super Glide it tracks straight at any speed...well I suppose it does I usually never take both hands off over 80 lol. But the Stealership is giving you a load. Tell then you were brn at night but not last night and to fix the freaking problem.....

    Yup, I would be rather mad at that stealership, what a load of crap. You tell them to make it right or give you a new bike. It is truly amazing what some of these brainless lying idiots try and pull, and unfortunately many folks believe them.
    It could be as simple as rear wheel alignment. The problem I had with my cycle pulling, and it took me a couple of weeks to figure out; was with my clutch cable was putting about a pound of pressure on the handle bar, so, we all know what a pound or so of pressure on one side will do. So much for creative clutch cable routing… :D
