I am wondering if you have named your bike or not? If so, why did you pick the name for your ride? If not, why not?

I call her Thumper. I guess the name comes from the sound of the exhaust. I know she's female 'cause she's kinda temperamental at times...

I have named my bike Whip Lash. the name comes from the very first time that I took it for a ride, I goosed the throttle and it whipped me back. Wasn't expecting that. That and she just looks mean as heck. :D

I also have names for all 12 of my guitars too. Anything that's like part of the family gets a name... bikes, kids, etc. :)

The bike came with a name "Road King Classic". That's enough. Anything else is just ***.

"Not that there is anything wrong with that."

Anything that walks, talks, barks, meows, or rolls in our household has a name, except the vacuum cleaner. My '84 150 pickup is "Bubba" (Terribly original, eh?), my wife named her car "Carney", after Carney Lansford, 3rd baseman of the Bash Brothers era Oakland A's team, (we lived in California then), and my scoot is "Ol' Bob", short for bobber. Ol' Bob is still under construction, built up piece by loving piece, patiently awaiting a 4-speed ratchet tranny and enclosed primary. I go out to my shop every day to visit Ol' Bob, and when there's no wrenching to do, I give him a few rubs here and a few taps there to let him know I haven't deserted him . . .

My King is "Ol' Red", because it is red and made in the last century. That is why I am Red Rider - because I ride her. But the real reason she has a name is that I have more than one bike, and so when I say I'm going for a ride and my wife asks "On what?" I can tell her "Red" instead of "Suzy" or "Green"- that way she knows that it is on the highway instead of into the mountains. I'm too lazy to say "On the Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King".

It is not ***, though it may be that I'm just lazy. Don't like bikes having names? Tough, 'cuz many riders do name theirs. Maybe not as imaginative :roflmao:as mine, but then at least they care enough to do it.

Frankly, any fuel injected bike that calls itself a classic is, well, ***!:roflmao:

Don't tell my 06 Ultra Classic that she is ***, she has been one tuff bike and never lets me down in all kinds of weather. Especially riding up in the Seattle area.

IMHO - A "Classic" can not be an EFI bike. I believe H-D got it backwards when they started that line of naming.
