    Hi All

OK! So Bob and me decided last min.com to give this run a go.
On the 6th May we set off for Dover sun shining, heads clear ::)ish.
Congrats to P&O for their new 4 hour window on crossings, which means you, can catch the sailing before or after the one booked at no extra cost.
The sailing was uneventful although surprised we were the only Harleys on it.
After sorting ourselves out at the port we set off heading NE through Belgium and Holland for Koln where we spent the night in an F1. That night we had a couple of wets and a bite to eat a few laughs and then bed. Next morning the sun blasting in through the blackout blinds and the intense heat woke me. Breakfast, load bikes and hit the road at our customary 10 o'clock. The 7th was a short day as we only had just less than 300 miles to do, so we were in Hanover by mid afternoon.
Booked into the F1, triple S :) and then jumped a tram into the centre of town for a look sees something to eat and a couple of cold beers. The tram back to the hotel was interesting to say the least and almost resulted in the III WW. Next morning we met for Breakfast  and made ready for the run up to Fredericka (Denmark) via Hamburg. Open roads, sunshine, no pigs and of course great company. As we got further north we started to run into other like minded riders heading for the rally, crossing paths with several groups as the day and the sMiles pushed on. We Arrived at a poorly signed rally which as we got closer became so obvious that signs were not really required but would still have been nice. When we arrived at the gates we joined an ever-growing number of eager party animals in the queue. At this point we thought we were early but once through the gate we discovered that infact we were rather late when it came to finding a flat bit of ground on which to pitch our tents. Still this done we made our way too a beer tent we had seen as we had made our way round the 5-mile circuit road. This was well set out with bar, stage and the normal eat stalls all around. It was not until later that we found out that this was infact the second area and that the main stage was in a football ground about 2 miles away but still within the rally boundary fence. (**** this was still only Thursday) The Main bands for the weekend were All tributes and included Dead Zep, Pink Floyd Project, TT Tops, Beat the Meetals and many more with three staged areas and a number of other jam sessions ( Jazz, Rock, Country, Old and New.) around the site and of course lots and lots of cold beer. As for cost don’t ask! :-/ So Thursday through to Monday became a bit of a Blur but the bands were good, weather great and the company great meeting a few old friends and making many new ones from all over Europe. As always the return trip was the down side of the run but the weather held and after an over night in Germany and a quiet crossing it was home with a day to spare i.e. clean bike wash tent and doss bag and rest rest rest.

    Hi All
Just a couple of explanations and a question.

Triple S indeed ends in shower shave.

F1 is Formula 1 a very cheap and cheerful modular Motel chain which has minimal staff and is normally located just off the freeway. Into which you can checkin using a credit card any time of the day or night.

The SofL was a gift from France and although not as big as yours added a nice backdrop to an HD rally. So Far I have seen 3 your's, this one and another in Germany but I'm told there are more scattered around Europe. So sorry if you thought those nice French had given you the only one.

Adding Pics? :gah: More too follow.

Hey thanks for the SofL education. That is pretty sweet info. Be a bit of a stretch for me to see the others (we only got one and I haven't even seen it LOL). Thanks to your pic I can count this one as much as ours LOL.

Thanks for the link to the pics too. Some really sharp looking rides there.
