    Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve under the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.

    About Heart Attacks

    There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
    One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
    Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack

    The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.

    However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

    If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
    Afterwards: CALL 911
    - say "heart attack!"
    - say that you have taken 2 aspirins..
    - phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
    - take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...
    DO NOT lie down

    A Cardiologist has stated that, if each person, after receiving this e-mail, sends it to 10 people, probably one life can be saved!

    Thanks for the info CB, my father had a massive heart attack not long ago and ignored all the signs. It nearly cost him his life and has forever altered his ability to function. He had no prior history and had been given a good bill of health just before.

    3 years ago Feb. I had a major heart attack while working in the shop on my El Camino. I passed out and then when I came to I crawled about 30 yards in the rain to the house. My wife stuffed me in the car and drove me to the hospital 5 miles away. I got out of the car and walked into the emergency room and collapsed. Weeks later and open heart surgery plus a heart valve repair I walked out of the hospital and went home. Yep, changed my diet and take blood pressure meds, Cholesterol meds and a 325 ML aspirin every day. Was I lucky, boy you can say somebody up above was watching out for me. I'm still here and able to enjoy my bikes, grandkids and the joys of being alive.
    Would ever have the wife drive me and try and walk in again, never.

    A friend of ours from our HOG chapter died last Friday morning from a heart attack. Her husband said she started gasping for breath in bed and he called 911, but don't know if she was able to take any aspirin, very sad.

    Hope I didn't make any of you gasp but what CB said could save your life or somebody you love. :)
