How difficult do you think it would be to use two different colors of heat wrap on the same pipe??

I don't think so difficult, just very time consuming it would be. That is a cool idea!!

well you would have a lot of work to do
it's not difficult but time consuming
and you'd have to be sure you have a good
zip tie or band clamp at the top to secure
    the starting point,

    Otherwise go for it..

I'd wrap it one color though, jmo...

I thought about either doing one pipe in orange and the other in black. Also do one pipe when the first layer of wrap is black with the orange going over it to create the candy cane effect and then the other one start with the black as the first layer and then use the orange over it to make the candy cane effect. Or doing them both the same.

    Looking for ideas.

This is true. I'm not going to do it until I get the baffle situation figured out though.

I have decided that I am going to use the Big City Thunder Baffles in it but I decided to wait since it is like Antarctica up here. One I get them, then I am going to get the bike on the dyno to see if there is a huge difference or not.

your 'll have to have the dyno man do two pulls , one without & one with , get your credit card ready to melt :eek:But the BC baffles should'nt make much of a difference in the power band , just quite it down a little bit , & that will be hard to tell , they will help a bit in the power band range , or should

I did what you suggested. I drew some pipes and then I alternated the colors like I want. I have to say that I like it a lot!!! I did think of one issue that I may encounter though. I am not sure how I am going to get around the mounts. I do not have a lot of room to get a wrench in there to tighten the nut., Not sure if the wrap will take up all of the space or not?? Any suggestions??

Does anyone have any suggestions on which brand of of exhaust wrap hat I should purchase? Also do you think that ' should be what I need to fit both pipes?

I ran the BCT baffles in my S/E double barrel pipes on my dyna....They were certainly the loudest pipes around and didn't do sh*t for my power....Didn't really notice until I put a set of Vance and Hines short shots on it, bike has way more power now and I am running the baffles that came with it. Don't waste your money,,,,weld a washer to a bolt and stick it in there....same difference. JMHO
