Have not had many chances to post anything for a while. I am finally this weekend getting my 2005 FLHTC back from a long down, my bottom end crank took a chit :wtf:

I'll share some background for Ya's upgraded my stock 05 EG from 88" to 95" with SE heads, 570G gear drives and a few other little performance goodies. That went very well for about the first 6K miles. Dam near got T boned on the bike one day & in a panic like fool I locked up the rear wheel without pulling in the clutch. The next 6K miles I rode the bike every time it would reach operating temp the gear drive would sound like a concrete mixer. Not to mention the new vibration the bike had taken on at 3K on the tech, (my girl friend enjoyed that but not me!!!). Needless to say an inspection of the pinion shaft found my crank had walked out from .002 up to .0055. Well I could have just stuck a chain drive cam back in & said good enough, but that's not me...& who could pass up a chance to get their crank stroked LOL!!!

Here is were I ended up with the motor ... kinda costly, this better get err done this time!

DarkHorse performed a Timken conversion bearing upgrade to the case along with their rebuilt version of the 103 CVO crank.

Had my SE heads warmed over by a well known local performance gent set at 79CC. That along with the 103 crank & FT forged pistons @ zero deck & .0030head gasket gives the motor 10.75 CR & right at 200 CCP using the HQ-33g cams. New custom map in the DTT ignition, S&S G carb, SE new cam plate & oil pump setup, new HD B lifters & adjustable push rods with new S&S roller rockers.

It's colder here then a witch's tit so prolly be a while but I will post some final numbers for Ya All after I get it broke in & final tune done...Initial dyno runs just to check AFR look very strong.

    Ride Safe!

    Cracker,

I will be waiting for the numbers. Very interesting the things that happen to us to cause things to end up the way we wanted in the first place. I know that didn't make **** for sense but it is always the way it works for me.

    later.............
