OK, I'm going to bore you to death with a bunch of pics. I'm back from my trip with my friend Vern and we did 914 miles. Baker City sits at the far side of Eastern Oregon at the base of the Blue Mtns and is the entrance to the beginning of the Hells Canyon where the Snake River has carved it out for more years than I know. Hells Canon is wider in places than the Grand Canyon.
The road where we crossed over the river to the Idaho side to ride down to the damn is 25 miles long and don't think there was but one short straight stretch. Nothing but constant switch backs and 1,2 and 3rd gear is all you need. The road at some places has cliffs that go straight up and down with solid rock cliffs where some hang out over the road and yea feel like you want to duck your head. We went to the damn at a very fast pace and when we reached the damn we knew we had just done a workout.
We took our time coming back up and stopped for some picks. Got some pics of others areas and in the town of Halfway, Cool little place but gets dang cold in winter with an average of 68 inches of snow and minus temps.

In the first photo from the previous post there is a creek flowing down cliffs and you can see 3 water falls.
Here are a few other various pics and some pics of a couple Boss Hoss trikes. The pickup trike was really cool. 365 HP with a Chevy 350 turbo 3 speed auto tranny.

Here are a few more JB, its just to hard to stop all the time and take some pics. There was one place I wanted to stop on the way back but couldn't get Vern to stop. It was a beautiful snow capped mountain range that they call the Alps of the west. They remind me of a saw tooth.

I envy you due to your ability to travel relatively short distances to rides like that! Very nice!
