I am wondering if anyone has a Helmet Camera.... If you do, what/where did you get it? Cost? How easy/difficult is it to use? How satisfied are you with the film footage? I am thinking that something like this would be fun to place on my Christmas list....or tax return list.....or post deployment list (next summer projected)...... I am looking at all the different options.....they all seem to look about the same, but you never know..... Thanks!

Dang Cowboy you just put an awful thought in my head. Graphic evidence of the cage that ended my wasting air.

I actually saw a clip one time.....helmet cam.....guy stated he was rear ended by the biker.....helmet cam shows a sudden lane change by the cage driver without turn signals AT A STOP LIGHT.....and the biker had no place to go but into the bumper.....when the car driver realized all this was caught on tape...INCLUDING HIS DENIAL of wrong-doing....he started to try backtracking on his verbage......needless tosay, the locals watched the video footage and he was lucky to get away alive!!!

Everyone that I have looked at so far comes with audio. The only huge difference that I have found so far is that some come complete with the DVR (higher dollar), some you must have a camcorder (so, would cost me lots, cuz I don't have one of those either!), or is self contained on a SD card....only problem with that is that I don't think they have a remote button to start/stop video, so can't place it too far from you, otherwise, can not reach it to turn it on/off!! Here is one of the cheaper ones, but no remote button for start stop.....needs to be close. WIRELESS HELMET CAM CAMERA ATC-2000 AT18 ATC2000 + 2 GB - (eBay item 230186558792 end time Nov-08-07 08:03:02 PST) Have already posted one of the complete kits, but they are spendy...... then there is this one that requires you to already have some type of recording device.... 580 Line Ex-View Helmet Cam / Bullet Cam Video Camera - (eBay item 120179219273 end time Nov-09-07 13:56:03 PST) So, not sure what (if anything) I will do...maybe just keep dreaming until I can afford what I want!

Only trouble with a helmet cam is when the wife watches the video she'd see how much of a wandering eye I actually have :p
