Drillin the hole was a no-no.:(
Check the forums for the articles on jetting and also check out Harley performance website for more tips on stage 1 upgrades for your bike.
Also if you haven't done so already - get a HD manual for your ride - about 50 bucks and the best thing to get for your bike besides a good lookin gal for the back seat.;)

Removal and reinstall is easy. You will probably need a clamp for the gas line. If you are mechanically inclined you won’t have any trouble, having a shop manual would be nice to have around. Especially if you plan do anything else to your bike, like regular maintenance. They are well worth the money. They make for good reading on long lonely nights.
If it were me I’d completely go thru the carb so I would know what is in it. When you say drilled the hole, do you mean the hole in the slide or drilled out the filler stuff protecting the adjustment screw? Do not drill the slide.

If you got the "kit" from the Harley Performance site, the drill bit doesn't enlarge the hole in the slide, with your long shots pipes first thing to try is staying with stock pilot jet and needle and get the air mix set 2 1/2 turns out for starters and 1/4 turn either way would mean the pilots the right size, out more than 2 3/4 pilot's too big, less than 2 1/4 it's too small, you may have a hard time getting rid of the hiccup due to the pipes your running, where does it hiccup?? around 1/4 throttle or 3/4??

it happens on the low end around 1/4 throttle but it usally happens as i start to put a load on it like leaveing a stop light, or turning. I drille the one out for the air fuel mix.

What carb kit did you get?? First thing you want to do is get your idle mix set, turn in the air mixture screw until gently seated then back it out 2 1/2 turns for a starting point, start the bike and let it warm up, with the idle around 1000 rpms slowly back the screw out until the idle stumbles then turn the screw in until it stumbles again, counting the number of turns going in in 1/4 turn increments, then split the difference.Eg. From the backing out stumble point you made 4 complete turns to get to the screwed in stumble point, backing out 2 full turns should be the setting for the idle circuit.

alright, the dealer i got the bike from is the one who attempted to tune it...hes good with bike...more of the newer injected, ridding a everyday street glide with a 108 hp, 103CI anyway i turned the idol up because about 1/4 choke it was ok and i also put the air fuel mix at 2 1/2 tunes from seated i got 1 hick up shortly after doing so then i rode maybe 10 miles it was fine! the idol was so low before it lobed and i know thats hard on the engine but what i think he did was adjust the air fuel before the idol....anyway will i run lean with stock jetting , big sucker air filter, vance hines long shots

yes.....it runs lean from the factory and by increasing the intake and exhaust it will run leaner.......need to compensate for those changes.....

The kit should be there soon and hopefully the instructions will be self explanatory. Of course if you get stuck there is plenty of help here.
