The front plug always has wet threads. Could the front cyl. be burning oil? I never see any smoke out the tail pipe. The pipes are pretty clean and it is only about 5,000 miles since I installed new 10 over pistons and rings???????
    Could it be over fueling?

    What does anyone else think?

    All help is appreciated.

the threads of the plug should be dry.....is the plug loose in the threads?? are you torquing them?? i would think with the threads wet you are also loosing compression in that cylinder. i also notice you dont use neversieze. possible the threads are gaulded in the head.

    Chuck,

The heads are new SE heads. When I installed them I noticed the cylinder walls where gouged so that is why I had to go 10 over to clean them up. The area around the plugs on the top of the head are clean too so I don't think it was leaking or loose.

I just don't understand how these threads are wet. Oil I think or varnished gas not sure which.

have ya tried a different set of plugs, or swap holes. does the "wet" have a gas or oil smell. if ya let the plug set on the bench for a bit does it dry out?

yeah, that's what I did last time so it always comes out that the front is oily and it doesn't dry out - I had them sitting on the bench over night.

I cleaned them up and put never-seize on them like you said. All I can do is run it, not much else to do. I can't micromanage all the little things, just keep and eye on it I guess.

    Thanks for the help though.

check to be sure your spark is the same...a weak spark may be your culprit. also a leak in the intake could cause a wet condition. my pan had the same symptoms as you, it was an intake leak. keep us posted.....
