Hover over your userid in the upper right hand corner. A drop down menu will pop up. In there is Signature.

You still have to have something like photobucket to do it right now. It's not set up to just add a pic from your file of pics yet.

just a free picture hosting site.

you can upload pictures from your pee cee to them, setup an
account with an email, and no they don't spam you.

then just go there, copy the link by clicking on a box they
setup to make it easy and paste it in a post.

I think Ken is going to work on it so that you can upload from your pic on your PC directly, like inserting a photo in a post.

Hi Chuck let me check the old copies and see what your signature image was.

Also moving this over to the category set up to track this stuff.

I uploaded your old signature image as an attachment here (below). Then I did a copy/paste of that image into your signature. Should be fixed now.

The description on how to load the image is definitely just a workaround until I can get something more permanent in place. Image uploads can be taxing on a forum so I'm proceeding cautiously so that an add-on doesn't leave us worse off than we were before the move. I'm getting ready to "enjoy the ride" for myself for a couple days so I will get more done after I return.

Later this evening I will try it, first by changing my avatar, and then by adding a new signature pic . . . but first I must make preparations with copious amounts of libations.

Finally I got my new avatar picture - scary, eh? Still cannot get my new signature pic to come up. There's no browser button to select a picture - I keep hitting a blank wall . . . :banghead

I don't know how to "paste", I guess. I pasted in grade school and I sometimes get pasted when I drink too much beer LOL. Here's what I did: I click on the signature, then the picture icon and when I click on that, a page comes up with a blank rectangle that has "sigpic" on it twice. I click on that and another window comes up and I click on that where it says "insert" and . . . nothing - no picture. The picture I tried inserting is a JPEG image. Instead, what came up just to the right of my avatar is a little box with an X (img) in it. WTF?
The picture I'm trying to insert for my signature is in my computer, not in photobucket.

From what I've read, photobucket or some other host based system is the only way right now. Still working on getting it from your own computer.

Josh, you have to download Photo Bucket onto you computer, its a free download. Then you need to open photo bucket and put your pic in photo bucket. There you can resize it, crop it or do other things to it. Once done editing your photo you click on the paper clip above it in photo bucket and copy it under the image portion. Once you have done that open your signature in Bike Talk and once in Signature select the paper clip in it and past it under URL then hit save and your done. Once you do it a couple of times it becomes easier.
