    Carbureted or fuel injected?
    What octane are you running?
Are you running an "oxygenated" gas?
Are you using the stock gas cap?
Have you tried opening your gas cap before the problem occurs to "vent" the tank to see if that stops it?
Am I out of beer again?

    Fuel Injected

It's fuel injected and I use 91 octane or higher if I can find it and the gas cap is a locking cap that came with the bike.No I haven't tried venting the cap when it gets to half a tank I'll try it this week to see if that helps.
Went to the freedom rally last weekend and my son watched the house so I have no beer now.

    Thanks for your input

    Venting the tank

I had that happen with a sportster once. When the tank was full, you'd have to crack the gas cap every so often. Then I found out that the vent from the tank to the bottom was painted shut......problem solved.
