When my lights are on and I turn on the high beams, the light circut breaker clicks off...I'm figureing I have a short in my light circut..I'm guessing that it is in the high beam wireing,or possible tail light wires..I have a 1975 sportty...Does it sound like I'm on the right track ?Going to start chaseing wires pretty soon.Ty for any info..I do have a wireing diagram.

Wiggle test, if it's not blowing the bulb or fuse when you click it immediately

Check the wires for a cut or fray, close to any metal contact areas...My guess
is you have an open area on the ground wire, very common.... Electrical tape, or
cut, soldier a butt joint and cover with heat shrink...
