Quite a challenge!!...No speeding tickets or disqualified...no motels, must be within 10ft of your bike at all times...no drugs, there will be testing along the route...first 5 bikes across the finish line are impounded and inspected, for what I don't know...$250,000 for 1st...but it really seems to be a test to see what you're made of...
Kinda makes the Iron Butt seem like a cake walk. LOL

I think that I may have to consider this once I get my bagger. I have already mentioned it to Hot Rider. I am up for challenges like this.. Have you ever done it?

:roflmao: No.. a couple of spinal injuries pretty much screwed any endurance tests for me,I can do 500-750 miles in a day,but not day after day for 10,000-15,000 miles... and the next time I sleep on the ground there will be 6 ft of it on top of me:roflmao: Although part of me would like to try it:)

I don't know, I believe this is the 2nd one...if you click on the link and click on 2010 finishers, there's quite a few and from what I've read on the site a lot drop out as it goes along,I'm just finding out about it myself and bookmarked the page to read more about it...

I did meander around the site a little but I did not happen to see how many people entered it last year. I wonder how much cash one should have on them for an endurance ride like that? It sounds like a great challenge that's for sure.:)

There were stories about people who would cut down signs on key roads at remote intersections or move them to make people take a wrong turn, no GPS is allowed.

Also several people have been killed on the trips,

I hope the stories are wrong on that but the concept leads towards risk

A little update...Weather conditions have them running about 2 days behind....there are 220 entries...One chick from Florida got her license a month ago, went and bought a Harley, rode it to Mesa AZ entered the challenge and is now running in the top 30:cool:
Another rider had 2 incidents with deer...2nd one he went down, but he and the bike are still roadworthy...he got himself together and continued on and a short time later he got hit in the face by an owl at highway speed:gah:(now that's luck) he is still going....one tough SOB IMO....

I guess he's lucky to still be alive after hitting 2 deer and then whacked with an owl...but unlucky that he hit 2 deer and got whacked by an owl:roflmao:
