    Harley vs. Vespa - YouTube

The guy on the Vespa was flying...you could see a couple of times the
Harley crossed the center line trying to keep up. That Vespa must of had
a little work done to it.

    Translation...

was ist das? = what is that?

den Krieg ich [ist ?] noch = the battle (war) is on!

... oder doch nicht! = or not!

    vaflixt (verflixt) = darn!

    weg is a !! = [he's] gone !!!

guessing it wasn't a "stock" Vespa...

I had a 80 Yamaha back in 67 and we all thought it was a larger bike. :roflmao: At least it was bigger than the 50 CC I had prior to that. Went every where on it including the Interstate freeways and went camping with it once to.

Well, the Harley need a bit of straight road, plus he had a passenger, and that makes hittin the twisties a bit harder,,, but still,,,,,,,

My first motorcycle experience was in the 60's on my uncles' Honda. Seems like it was a 100, but I don't know. Another older cousin had a Cushman. Think I had more fun on that one. He's in his early 80's now, and wants a ride on my Harley. Gotta get my ass over there soon.

Mine had the oil injection. Bought it new and rode it for a long time then traded it for 59 TR3 Triumph. Now that you mention it I do remember laying down to go faster.

My very first bike I traded my 10 speed bicycle for was a 50CC Yamaguchi. I rode the heck out of it once I got it running.

Never thought of that - he sure was ridin' it like he stole it! It looks like they don't have solid yellow (no passing) lines in Germany . . .
