I Remember Awhile Back Someone Posted Something About A Bike Lift Made Out Of 2x4's. I've Serched The Threads And Can't Find It. So If Anyone Remembers Please Help. I'm About To Start My Chopper Project And Really Don't Want To Buy That Standard Atv Bike Lift , Because It Does'nt Go Low Enough. Every Time I Use My Buddies I Have To Lift The Bike On The Jack And Even Then It Does'nt Sit Strait Or Stable.

Not sure where it is off the top, but I know that HRK posted into it! I almost want to think it was a thread that had to deal with possible bike jacks/lifts....maybe started by me when I was looking at a ladder or a lift?? maybe that will help someone juggle their memory......

Thanks For The Feed Back. That Was The One I Was Thinking Of. That Won't Work For What I'm Thinking. I Can Get That Same Result By Sticking My Scissor Jack Under There. I Guess I'll Just Buy The Jack And Do Some Modifications. Make Me A Ramp Or Something So I Don't Have To Lift The Bike.

That's what I do with my buddy's hardtail. I cut two 2x6s at an angle so you can roll the bike up onto them. Then the lift fits right underneath.

    No, really,

a reason to sign up for some of these pest web site adds. They emailed me a printable coupon to buy at $199. I also have a herbal medicine site that offers me a deal every holiday, change of season, or whatever. I try to just glance threw them, make a decision and move on.
I understand about the $300, a bargain if you use it.

If you want to get one for a buddy, I can print and snail mail it to you.

Chuck, I think the shipping would kill ya...but I would be happy to do it for you though. Don't you have a Harbor Freight near you? See if you can use the coupon directly with them and have them ship it to you. I wonder if that would work??

It is a nice lift, but I guess you're right. For 200 bucks it's definitely a good deal! Maybe you could buy it and paint it up real nice!?!?:D

For $200 to $300 a full table lift will be nice for doing a full bike project.

I have one of the kendon stand up lifts, it's great, works wonders if you have to do a lot of work keeps you from being hunched over. Plus it folds up for storage.

For the bottle jack I do the same with my softail roll the back tire up on a 2x6 and the jack goes right under. Sears Red lift.

Just need to get the rear wheel up don't have to put it up on front and rear tires on a board.
