It was a good weekend away, very much needed. A chance for Hilary to rest from her hospital ordeal.

    There are some photos here

The journey home today was no fun at all. Three and a half hours of riding in heavy rain and spray. It is bad when sufficiently wet that the mesh and goretex stuff fails. Gloves and footwear are going to take some time to dry out.

Glad she is doing better. Nice pics, they remind me of the Willamette Valley here in Oregon where we live.

The ride home was tough. Towards the end I was thinking "this was easier when I was younger". Fortunately it was not so cold, about 50 F, so hands and feet despite being wet did not get too chilled. By the time we got home we were both tired, wet and a bit cold.

A great weekend though, and Hilary is doing really well.
