The receipt come from somebody that goes to the CAsa Terlingua Chili cookoffs.
And when I went to the Casa Chili Cookoff a couple weeks ago. Several of the contestants said, we only eat our real Chili with Beans.
    We eat Manwich with bread.

Why go through all that trouble when you can just warm up a can of
    #1 Chili in the Northwest
Don’t bother making chili unless you’re sure it’s the best. At least that’s the way we see it. Nalley’s Chili outsells its nearest competitor about 3 to 1 because we use only the best ingredients, including choice USDA ground beef. Of course, we should also mention that Nalley’s Chili is high in fiber and low in fat. Although that’s probably the last thing you’ll be thinking about while feasting on any of our delicious chili flavors. And that’s just the way Nalley’s likes it.

Beans have no place in chili. That's a yankee concoction.

    This is Texas chili.

4 pounds coarsely ground beef (chili-grind)
    1 large chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    6 teaspoons chili powder
    2 (16-ounce) cans tomatoes
    Salt to taste
    2 cups hot water

In a large frying pan, brown meat with onion and garlic until meat is lightly browned; transfer ingredients to a large kettle.

Add oregano, cumin, chili powder, tomatoes, salt, and hot water. Bring just to a boil; lower heat and simmer, covered, for approximately 1 hour. Remove from heat. Skim off grease and serve.

    Serves 12.

None of you know how to properly make chili :p
Cincinnati style chili is the BEST chili period....

Chili is made without beans in the cook pot but Beans can be added on top
with chopped fresh white onion bits, grated cheddar cheese and if you like
a little hot sauce for spice.

    CINCINNATI SKYLINE CHILI

    Basic Ingredients:

    1 qt. water
    2 lbs. gr. Beef
    2 onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic
    2 tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 bay leaf
    1 ½ tsp. salt
    ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    5 whole allspice
3 tbsp. (or more) chili powder
    16 oz. tomato sauce
    ½ oz. baking chocolate

    Optional:

    finely grated cheddar cheese
    chopped onions
    hot dogs
    spaghetti
    oyster crackers

Boil water and raw ground beef slowly for 30 minutes (don’t brown ground beef ahead of time…crumble it into small bits and boil it). Add other ingredients and cook over low heat for at least 1 hour. (I think the chocolate is the secret to the special flavor!) Stir often. Refrigerate overnight and then skim off fat.

Can be served in a variety of ways. Add kidney beans, top with finely grated cheddar cheese and/or chopped onions. Serve over hot dogs or cocktail franks in pastry, or over cooked spaghetti. Oyster crackers on the side.

The Cincinnati "Skyline" Chili Ordering Code

    1-way: just the chili

    2-way: chili served over spaghetti

3-way: chili, spaghetti, and grated Cheddar cheese

4-way: chili, spaghetti, cheese, and onions

5-way: chili, spaghetti, cheese, onions, and beans

All "ways" are served with oyster crackers.

Come on man.........we all know Skyline "chili" is really just spaghetti sauce. Or as the Saprano's would say, gravy.

It does taste good on spaghetti though.:)

Only Yankee I know is Chucktx.

And I've never been to Yankee land or ate yankee food.
If'n I was a Yankee, I would be only born there. As soon as the ice melted, I would have my clothes packed looked to leave and go to a warmer place.

Reminds me. I used to do work for a Dude that his family left him and his brother thousands of acres of land in I think it was Montana.
He said you didn't know snow till you lived in Montana.
He moves to Texas and bought a lot of Rental property.
CAlled his brother one day and said a bird has one of the smallest brains that he knows. And its smart enough to fly South in the Winter.
Why don't his brother move to Texas.

Remember I'm Bama Born and Bama Raised and been in Texas for 27 yrs.

Don't know anybody that makes Manwich to eat out of the bow.
Now I know a lot of folks that eat Chili with Beans out of a bowl.
