Am trying to customize my own bike. Paint and seat changes so far. Would like to know other experiences with Supertrapp 4 into 2 specifically or other recommendations. I like the speed but am afraid with too much noise, I may end up with too many tickets....any suggestions with difficulty of installation plus slip ons VS full change out. I have heard the Supertrapp tuneables do not need a jet kit..... and drag pipes by Jardine just toooo loud... thanks, cokeman............Finally getting some clue to how this website works......
Had a guy from KC Creations here in KC tell me that he " just did not like the sound of Supertrapp............""......so I spent 330.00 on Jardine Drags. Good quality, easy to install......but after a week of LOUD......I actually put my stock pipes back on the left side.......looks a little odd.....but good sound and I can live with 1/2 the LOUD........Any MagnaManias out there that want a deal on two into two for the right side of their bike??......Cokeman

I know this is kinda late, but I'm new here. To tell you the honest to god truth. I drilled out the rivets on the exhaust put vise grips on the little 1" pipe and banged those suckers right out of the pipe. Fiberglass and all. I was going to do this just til I got some cobra pipes.. but sh!t..it sounds the same... It really isn't that loud

IMHO, Cobra products just plain sux! They're cheap and built that way. The quality of the chrome is non-existent. They begin to rust as soon as you pull them out of the box. Jardine are quite a bit better, though not my favorite either. But, those were the only choiced I had on the VX800 I was working with. I liked the cobra's look better, were cheaper, so I bought them first. There was spots of rust on the head pipes within 6 months and I did NOT neglect them! The welds were crappy and I had to bend some things to get them to fit. Never again.

Now, I really don't know what's available for the Magna, not really into cruisers all that much, but if you can get anything from Vance and Hinz, Yoshimura, M4, Akrapovic, D&D, you'd be a lot more satisfied with it. Most of those are sport bike pipe manufactures and I've not looked at their line regards to cruisers, but I know V&H has a huge line of quality cruiser stuff. If you can get it in stainless or titanium, it'll hold up far better to the elements. I live next to a salt water bay, so that's always big on my mind for pipes. I just do not like chrome, especially on pipes.

    Thanks

Thanks alot goose... I was under the impression that Cobra products were grade A quality... I haven't ever bought any cobra stuff so I am not sure how I came to that conclusion. I do believe Vance and Hines makes pipes for the Magna, so I'll have to look into it. The Magna is in pretty good shape now but I want to tear it down to the frame, stretch it and lower it a little bit. I plan on doin a little engine work to it so I need a pipe that will complement the mods not hinder it.
    Thanks again
