Several years ago I bought a copy of Hot Bike or Hot Rod Bikes (forgot which one it was) with an article that described the conversion of an electra into road king front. The mechanic who performed the conversion was called "the doctor". The changing of nacelle, gas tank, electrics, instruments etc. were shown with pictures. Unfortunately I do not remember exact year/month. Maybe someone remembers this copy and the article and is willing to sell it to me or make a copy of the article and send it to me. I'll pay.

    thank's

I've collected nacelle and gas tank from a 1994 RK. Those parts should fit (as far as I'm told) however the triple tree has to be modified?? I'm not sure about the modifications. The info I've got so far that the parts cannot be bolted on without adjusting triple tree. In that article that a.o. things was described. Also there can be a problem with the air regulation of the front shocks.

When you're buddy's back and he would want to share some tips with me, I'd appreciate it. My main concern is to prevent the "gap" between the nacelle and the tank. I've heard that the triple tree should be adjusted/reworked, but I do not know how or what.

    thank's

thank's for the effort, but there is no rush. the conversion I'm planning will be a winter project. I'm not sure what you are suggesting. Do you mean that I should contact the magazine again? I contacted Hot Bike twice and the company that sells back issues twice. no response at all from both of them

    grtz

I don't know Johnny, the guy did not mail that. The simple answer was that he could not (want????) to do that. It's funny, I have a stack of old HB magazines of maybe a 100+ in the attic. When you approach the publisher, every little effort seems to be too much.
