my son has a gxr 750 a 96 model that once it stops after riding it wont start up again for about 45 mins. or more. it has been tuned up with new plugs and a new starter to try to solve the problem, but it still exists. anybody have a clue whats going on. so far the dealer has not solved the problem.

i would check the coil/coils. when some coils go bad, the windings inside seperate when warm/hot. another thing that could be happening is "vapor lock" a condition in the carb where the fuel gets to hot and wont flow through. next time it happens, take a cold towel and apply to the carb bowl and see if this helps with the starting....have the coil tested or replace. hope this helps a bit.......have fun!!
