What is the life expectancy of a primary chain on a FL?
What usually goes wrong with them before you have to change it.
How would you know? Does it just stretch to the point that you can't adjust it any more or does it start to make noise? Could it start making noise?

Also, what about compensator spring tension. Does that ever go bad? Is there a way to measure that? Has anyone ever had to change it?

    Thanks in advance.
    Tom
