Yes, LRG I think you have the right idea. Just add some training wheels to your baby and keep on living your life as you have been. Why change now?
If it is in the heart then it's in the soul. I never expected to ride again because of money reasons. Then one day my boys were busting my webbos and the wife was standing right next to me. Then out of her mouth came "Get Another Bike you need one".
Not only my jaw fell. All the guys that were busting my chops jaws fell.
I started looking for another FXR that night. This one happens to be a little more differant then my other. Not just in looks but I own a P now and with it came the logo still on the tank. It will be staying there also. I have changed it to suit me. Took the lights off and the highway bars. Put forward controls on her and took the HD lights off. It will always look like a police bike and have that black and white paint job with red pin stripping. This bike being a P is being dedicated to those who died on 9/11. I am a New York boy bread and born. That was my home that was attacked. Those buildings I lost a good friend in. My brother in law built those two buildings and was one of the iron workers that went down there that night and set up to do as much as he could to help. So if you ever see a black and white FXR P with a guy with patches on his jacket that is dedicating his New York P to remembering what happened that day. It will be me making sure no one ever forgets what happened that day. Gumby321 Peace

    Hey Kb

Just remember this one thing and now this is my way of thinking and only what I believe. I am not a religious person. Meaning that I have a hard time with seperation of people because of religion.
You can see it today all over the news. We are fighting a Holy War, because these MF er's...want us to believe in what they believe in and we don't.
Thats why we go threw this crap. It has been going on for centurys now and it will never stop.
The Jews have been tried to be wiped out now since the start of time. They have been blamed for everything. Killing the son of god, Who was a Jew. By being the son of god. What does that make God. I have many questions about this subject and when brought up all it causes is arguments.
Its like talking about repubs and dems. they are all butt heads. They have no clue about real people. Lobyists and big biz runs this country.
Anyway getting back to what you said....I believe we have a bithdate and a deathdate. I DO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A HIGHER POWER and when the time is right, thats when it will all come to a head. I just hope it wont happen in my time......
What we do in bettwen these two, makes us who we are and what happens to us when the end does come.
My felling is the biggest sin you can make is kill a human being. I am not talking in self defence. I am talking just for the sake of taking a life.

Hope you are not sorry you opened this can of worms. Gumby Peace

    Just To Let You Know

First sorry to hear about that major acc. I too had one that changed my life but nowhere near what you have gone through. I was splitting traffic going come from work. Traffic was at a dead stand still I was just going through nice and slow. Everyone said I was doing under 10 mph. I said 5. anyway this young girl and I saw this was on her cell phone and just went over to her left just far enough to clip me. Not much damage to the bike but enough. I broke my leg. It didn't heal properly and after seeing 5 Drs. the 6th said I see whats wrong. The next day I was in the hospital for a 6 and 1/2 hour operation. They put 8 screws and a plate in my left leg. I tried going back to work 2 times after that. There was no way i could do it. I was building sets for tv and movies for 30 years and making big bucks. So now I went from hero to zero in the money dept. In that industry you are either in for the whole 12 hour days, 7 days a week. Or they don't have use for you. no matter how much you know or who you know. So one good thing came out of it. I got out of L.A. and get my pension and ssd. So I didn't have to work to the age of 62. You hardly see guys over 50 building sets now. They want the dumb guys who will jump up and say yes sir. I paid my dues many years ago when I was coming up. So my wife and I bailed L.A. and came to Vegas. Much cheaper to live here. Plus, I couldn't sue the girl because they made us 50% each at fault. She didn't even put a claim in to her ins. company. I wanted to have her cell phone records sapeanad but was told that can't be done. I guess I watch to much cop t.v because I have seen it done.

Anyway there is a place right here in Vegas that makes these new type of bikes. They are all automatic they even have reverse. Plus they have these 3 wheelers now that you can either take the top off and ride without. Plus they have a 2 seater. So now you can have your pick of many things out there as far as 3 wheels goes.
A buddy of mine who I ride with had an acc. at work and took 3 fingers off, plus part of his thumb. This was on his clutch hand. So he too went to a 3 wheeler and is still able to throw sparks when doing wheelies.

Plus it is basiclly all HD. It is sharp too and comfortable. I havent had the chance to ride it yet, but I will for sure. If you want I can get you some info. on those things and send out the literature to you. They are right down the block from my house. I pass there all the time. Let me know if you are interested. It would be no problem at all. GUMBY PEACE

    Well Now

I have a hard time with the first one. Being a city boy the only horses I got to see feel or touch was those that pulled the carriges around central park. Also I have felt first hand the police horse. That one did not feel as good as the other. The other 2, I am with you..GUMBY PEACE

    Harley Gods......

I have respect for ALL the religions as I feel each person is trying to contact the spiritual realm as best they can. Problem is humanity enters in and they feel they have to fight to show how great their IDEA of Divinity is....Me I give homage to the Gods of the open road. They never ask for anyone to kill for them. They accept all who love the freedom of the wind in thier face. They are always as close as the starter on my Hog.

Ride until you die....and Ride Free.....

I am with you on that !!!!!

I hear what you are saying my brother. It is too bad the whole world does not feel the same way.
Maybe we should just start putting all the heads of every country. All religious fanatics on some bikes and turn them loose. Maybe then we might get some PEACE and HARMONEY in the world. AMEN to that...GUMBY PEACE

Wouldn't be too long before they wanted to race and see who wins it all and we'd be right back where we started, though....
