Don't have to do it y'all way.

I do it my way. I have rode when I was younger all year long. Because all I had for transportation. I could afford either a bike or a truck.
    I chose a bike.
Worked with a dude that came down from Boston to Northern Alabama.
When we was gonna have a big cold snap come in, I said to him the day before.
Hay Dave you really need to get a nice sweatshirt with a Hood and a coat and some gloves for tomorrow.
He said listen Redneck, I come down from Boston, when it snows we run around in Short sleeve shirts.
Next morning it dropped down to 28*
He came to work and was screaming . Man how did it get so cold down here.
How in the heck do y'all handle it.
I said it didn't snow buddy, just got cold.
Well Our cold is not nowhere near this cold, even when it snows.
The Bossman came out and said how do you like our Wet cold compared to your dry cold Dave.
Dave said I'm ready to go back to Boston.

The cold is easily remedied with all the cool heated gear not to much you can do about thick ice hard packed roads and in some cases black ice will get the most prepared cage/truck. I remember living in NC it got so cold that my throttle froze stuck. Yeah my bad...cables weren't properly lubed with graphite. Up here I live about 1/4 mile down a dirt road. Can't even thick about riding even after the roads are dry until the dirt road part is snow/ice pack free. Not to mention 2 or 3 mud season spells that occur.
