I have a 2001 Road King, all stock. If I installed V & H Big Shot Duels, K & N Air Cleaner assembly with free flow filter and modified my carb with Kens Stage 1 kit what kind of HP gains will I get and what other noticable performance will I get?

    Thanks

i cant give you numbers, but you will feel it in the seat of your pants! you will also experience increased mpg. if you are doing this yourself you will also get great gratification in knowing you made your bike stronger without the help of a stealer..........very cool!!!!!!:)

    HP gain

    I would guess around 10hp at least(JMO).Chucks right about the difference in feeling.The first 10-15 hp's are relatively inexpensive.For most,this set-up will be plenty & won't require too much in tool/technical area.Good luck!00 wildglide:cool:

Big Shot Duals set you up for more top speed, too. I run V&H Pro Pipes (2-1)on my King, which are better for torque and mid range performance, but your mods should get you more top-end power. You'll be quicker than stock, with a bit more torque and horses. You should have improved fuel mileage, too, if ya don't let your new power infect your wrist.

All you will "need" after those mods is an improved cam. Check this data from a thread (http://bike-talk.com/forum/motorcycle-tech-talk/3538-1999-flhr-upgrade-dyno-results.html) that I put out in June:

    Dyno run conditions(final run):
    86.29F 25.64in-Hg, Humidity 9%, 4498ft Alt

    Started with

    40MM CV H-D/Keihin carb with Dynojet/thunderslide (tuned for sea-level)
    H-D Teadrop/K&N Air Cleaner
CA Emmisions crap (more than I knew was there until I ripped it out)
SE Slash cut slip-ons on stock dual pipes
    Autotensioned cam chain
    - the #'s
    - Max HP = 62.8
    - Max Torque = 69.6

    The changes:

.510 S&S Gear drive cam (with the gear drive, too - duh!)
    V-H Pro HS pipe
    De-Californicated emissions
    Dyno-Tuned but de-Dynojetted 40MM CVH-D Keihin Carb (5500ft altitude)

    The New #'s
    - Max HP = 80.12
    - Max Torque = 91.23
