I'm riding an '06 Sportster Custom and I think my idle is a bit too low. Where do I find the idle adjustment screw on the carb? Pics would be helpful as the owners manual is all but useless.

Just a hint go to the dealer and pick up a Service manual, worth it's weight in gold
Shows all the adjustments, torque values etc.

Owners manual won't have all the good stuff so when you go to do a service, oil, forks, etc you'll be able to tell how to do it, what the capacity is, or how to do the brakes, pictures and all...

i agree with hrk service manual will be the best tool in your box

if you look at the carb. with the cleaner removed, on the front side....twards the forks....you will see a screw with a spring under the head. twist the throttle and you will see a large cam moving. the screw touches this at the top. that is the idle screw. righty makes it increase, lefty makes it decrease...........hope this helped ya.......

check out this site for carb info,
    Harley Davidson Performance
to raise the ideal turn the throttle stop screw located on the right hand side of the carb, it can be seen behind the air cleaner where the throttle cable connects to the carb.

Also if the Air Mix screw is out of place then the idle can change but yes the idle adjustment screw is right above the cam that the cables connect to on the front of the carb.

Get it warm first before you set warm idle, the choke will maintain cold idle higher, but you want it warmed up good before setting warm idle..
