ignition switch problem

    someone failed to get my bike ,but broke my switch the chrome to lock/switch
    anyway bike starts with a screwdriver however i lost seedometer,tach,turn signals,and brake lights,cant figure out why the part only look like a rectangular
    shape piece to turn on ,but when running bike the is a small red key light that
    stays on now,any ideas till my new switch comes in?

    it sounds like when they tried to get it that they damaged the internals on the switch(the parts that supply power to the componets lost). as for the key light, check your service manual, or the dealer. one thing to check before ya get too many miles on it is make sure the battery is being charged. that circiut may have been damaged also

    I would also recommend a Harley Davidson switch. I have had a lot of bad luck with the aftermarket replacements. They seem to go bad a lot quicker.
