Hello All! Hey i am looking to put a better performing coil my bike but I am not sure what to get. I know that I want it to be in the stock location, and it has to be about the same size because with my new tank, I do not have much clearance between the rocker box, and the bottom of the tank.

    Any Suggestions?

The stock coil should work just fine & you will not get any performance improvement from an aftermarket coil. Nor will you get any performance improvement with an aftermarket ignition. Except that an engine with a "single-fire" setup starts easier & idles better than with the "dual-fire" (wasted spark) setup, which your bike & most all Harleys came with.

The "dual fire" setup makes the spark plug in each cylinder fire twice - near the end of the compression stroke & also on the exhaust stroke - the latter firing is called the "wasted spark". Big deal? Not unless there's a LOT of "overlap" in the cams & the difference between single-fire & dual-fire is negligible on street / road bikes. Yes, it makes a difference @ the racetrack, but only there.

So don't spend $$$ on an aftermarket coil, as you'll gain nothing by using it. If you could, I would be using one.
