It is with great sadness that I let everyone know that Bob Reeves (aka Deuce3) passed away Sunday 12/19. I've been informed that he died of a heart attack while riding his beloved Harley Duece trike in his hometown of Onalaska Texas.

We'll miss you Bob, may you ride in peace.

    Here comes a story.

Met him and rode with him a few times with the OL.
He rode so slow my wife even was askin what is he going so slow for.

He used to talk about the Darkside, puttin a car tire on a motorcycle.
When we rode he would never git over 60 mph, have a tractor trailer on his butt and be in a 70mph zone..
Took him up the lake to a Indy shop and introduced him to the owner., the guy tried to explain to him that it wasn't a good idea. He had the indy dude to put the car tire on his deuce. The indy dealer was gonna put the tire on and looked. Bob was gonna put a 16" tire on a 17" rim.
He said it wouldn't work. When the indy dealer tried to put the old tire back on he was struggling with it and notised he had taken a 16" tire off the 17" rim. The indy dude had to find a old Deuce tire and put it on the bike.
Bob finally got off the Darkside trip.
Took his bike over to Conroe and had it turned into a Frankenstein Trike.
He rode up Hiway 356 one mornin and rode past the INdy shop.
I was i the Indy shop a week ago when Bert told me about it. I said Man Please.

There was a car following Bob Reeves and they notised that Bob just fell off his trike and tumbled down the road and the bike ran off in the woods up at Westwood shores area. Bert had to go up and git the trike and take it to is shoo
When they did a artopsy on Bob they found out a valve in his heart went bad and he was dead before he ever hit the ground.
The trike is up at Texas V twins in trinity area right now. I didn't go out back and take the time to look at it..
    Hate to hear it happened.
Bob has told me he had problems with his heart. I Asked and yer smokin cigarettes.
    Bob Please !

Hate to hear it happened to him.
Sorry I forgot he was a member on here. Had a lot going on lately.

Well at least he went doing something he was enjoying. That's the way I would want to go to.

Had an ultra sound done on my heart at the VA a week ago, got the results yesterday, not good news.

Don't smoke, wife makes me eat better, lost a few pounds, the walking part is the hard part out here. Yea walk on these country roads and you'll get killed by a speeding driver. I do take much better care of myself than I used to. Still gotta have a beer once in a while though. The VA told me they are now looking at us Vietnam Vets with heart issues. They say that the agent orange used over there is now a contributing factor for heart issues in Vietnam Vets.

I've had to 2 open heart surgeries, Mitro Valve replacements, first value was a pig value, lasted 14 years, now I have a St. Judes mechanical valve, tritium & carbon fiber, supposed to last a life time, now that makes me laugh, how long is a life time. anyway had it for almost 13 years, also had to have a pacemaker put in this last May. They say mine was a birth defect, but I'd be glad to take any VA money I can get.

:roflmao:Sarge7 my female (good looking one to) Cardiologist said she doesn't believe in motorcycles and didn't want to hear about em. I had a 5 by-pass heart surgery 3 years ago this Feb and a special band was placed on my heart valve (was leaking causing the lungs to fill up with fluid). She told me she did not want me riding for the first 8 weeks after surgery. Everytime I went in to see her I always wore everything I could that said Harley on it. She always said are you riding that thing yet,...no doc not yet how soon can I throw a leg over the saddle:). She always gave me that raised eyebrow stern look. :D
Got another friend with a pacemaker and he rides all the time. Can't see why that would make a difference.
