    Im looking to buy a 71 shovelhead but do not know much about them. I was looking for some pros and cons thanks for the help

    :cool:as stated before they are like pit bulls mark a spot were they have been!, but nothing sounds like a shovel , they run out nice very nice when you spend some money in the motor ,good luck and enjoy hope you are a goood wrench and by the service manual ;),

    If it starts & rides it's a good one , they will have oil leaks they can be fixed , what model are you looking at ? Also see if seller has the service manual with it you'll need it

    I'm not sure of model yet. My boss has it he has Manuel's for it. He bought from a bank and has put some money in to. IT runs really good and sounds aamazing
