I recently purchased an 8303 Informer Fuel/Battery Gauge and received incorrect instructions. Some of the suppliers have old outdated instructions. If you have an '04 model or newer model, do not cut the gray wire as instructed. The instructions state "the gray wire is used only on '04 Fuel Injected models". They should state "the gray wire is used only on '04 and up Fuel Injected models". If you cut the gray wire your low fuel light in the speedometer cluster will come on when the tank is full. If you've already cut the gray wire because you received the incorrect/old installation instructions call Kuryakyn or the supplier and they will ship you a new wiring harness kit. Please visit to Kuryakyn.com to see the corrected installation instructions and hopefully your installation will go smoother than mine did.

Thanks for letting us know Dave, also sounds like you contacted the manufacturer which gave you some satisfactory results, I hope?
