    So it's just for moderators. Well, I'm sure there's a reason for that, but I don't understand why. If somebody has a tech tip, why shouldn't they be allowed to post it without special permission?

    Not trying to be argumentative; just curious.

    Simple it's not a posting forum, its a forum where mods can take really good tips and reference them in tech tips.

    It's designed so we don't have two technical sections going at the same time.
    If you have a tip you'd like to share then let a mod know, we'll put your post in the tech tips.

    Basically it's a section with reference not discussion.

    If you want to talk tech use the Tech Forum

    that is all, back to your regularly scheduled posting...

    The first time I tried to use it a couple years back, it wouldn't let me post, so I gave up on it. Maybe that's why members don't use it. I am sure there are a ton of good tech tips out there waiting to be posted.

    And that is a great convenience, having Ipads & Tablets and so on. But for me, there's no substitute for having a real, solid book in my hands. Too bad libraries are going the way of the dinosaurs.
