How would you describe the intake manifold for a carbed bike?

Would you say that it is a single plane, dual plane, tunnel, or tune port? LOng runner or short runner?

Y'all try to remember too much.
When you are ordering it. Tell them what you have and what you want.
Its their job to know the rest.

I forgot to add, wouldn't you think that a bike carb has a single plenum too?

I would....I take it you're looking for values to plug into your desktop dyno...BP would be able to give you the answers and probably the values better than most of us here....eg. intake runner length....I think that the value for it would be from the carb mouth to the intake valve, now is the intake manifold considered a plenum:confused:I don't know...

Yes, that is the reason as to why I am asking. BP is really busy with stuff at the moment and I don't want to bother him. So you guys get the honor...:roflmao: The program isn't asking for specific length, just configuration. The program figures in certain flow numbers but right off hand I am not sure that it does for the intake. I got a few engine configurations complete based off what my set up will be and now I am just fine tuning it. This program gives me a bunch of information like manifold pressure and so on.

I am thinking that right where the carb mounts is the plenum because it then splits into a two runner systems to feed each cylinder?

I don't think so,I believe an intake plenum is an air chamber in which the intake runners feed from,so I don't think you can call the Harley manifold a plenum, also I don't think you could call the manifold a 2 runner system because it feeds 2 cylinders,it's a single short runner that feeds 2 cylinders, but JB,I'm only guessing,I would plug in "zero" for plenum and the length of the runner would be from the back of the air cleaner to the valve....
