So the new super duper Iphone 5 has turned most of Portland into a park, and the Hoover Dam into a roller coaster ride! Seems the map program is screwy.

There was a news blurb on the World News that Apple issued an apology for the map program in the Iphone 5. There is a major problem with it. They showed a map of Portland and most of the city was pictured as parkland. The Hoover Dam was shown as not being staight across at the top of it but dipping down into the valley. Awww nevermind, ya had to be there... geez

Never be the first to buy anything new...Wait for them to get the bugs out first...Just shows how many have become so dependent on all these technical gizmos...People can't even add anymore...No surprise that we are way behind...

You guys know dang well their are plenty of map apps out there. But because Apple came out with their own and it isn't perfect the whole phone isn't any good.
Give apple time and their map will be a great map.
A apple Iphone is easier for me to use and a new person to use than a Droid phone.

If you don't like a Iphone go get something else.
    But I like my Iphone.
My buddy that lives across the street, both him and his wife went to college for computers.
They make their living doing computers.
He has used all kinds of smart phones.
Both of them have the Iphone. He was 3 rd in line behind me when we got the Iphone 5
Up here in the country they are suppose to have the 4G LTE network closer to running.

I did the ios6 up date on my 4gs eye phone , the map section was spot on ,there is a small town here in TX my son called me the other day & ask me , if I remembered where it is , I'am a retired truck driver & he's still driving , I used my phone maps while talking to him , then double check with my atlas , yep spot on here , I also used the eye map to do some more research , all where spot on here in Tx :D,

I been using the map for 2 weeks, I use my Iphone map when we drive 45 miles up one side of the lake and 45 miles down the other side going to subdivisions and down dirt roads.
The map has worked great for me.
The wife has used it to find places in Houston and it took her there.
In Houston the Iphone 5 is as fast of a phone as you could ask for.

I did see the news that fatboy 128 posted ,& had a good laugh , but mine works just fine , the gal at apple I talked to said the ios5 for my 4gs is the same up dates as the new 5 just smaller screen & a little wider body so no new phone for me as my 4gs is about 6months old the wife & two of my sons went to the driod phones & say they will never go back to eye phones , once you get use to the droid it work better then the apple & your nor locked into to just apple for apps or for anything , & theres planty of free apps for the droid

Ain't upgrading to the 5 either my 4 works just fine and the pics as you all have seen using it are pretty dang good. It did piss me off that when I did the upgrade that google maps was removed. So, I just went back and reloaded google maps plus some others. There new map did show a lot of Portland as a Park area. But I like my IPhone and like CB ain't going to the dark side.

The Difference in the 4S and the 5
The processor in te 5 is a whole lot faster.
Just like in a computer, the speed of the processor makes the computer.
And the Iphone5 is the new phone for 4G LTE network.

Git on the internet, load a program. It will do the task but it does it slow.
And I think its he 3GS There are gonna be no more updates for it.

Use a Iphone 5 on the 4G LTE network. Hit a appiclation and its loaded by the time you touch it.
go to maps, when you touch it the map is loaded.
Hit go for a map to take you somewhere. On 4G LTE when you touch the word go. The map is loaded and ready to use. Its that fast. You can't believe how fast it is.
And the apple phones are build better than the droids are.

The people at the AT&T store was asked by customers which phone they would suggest is the easiest to use.
They told their customers the Iphone or a Windows phone is the easiest to use.

The droid phones takes longer to learn and operate.
The apples apps are less likely to be hacked than the droid apps.

Got neighbors that had droid and blackberry phones.
Guess what they all have now.
    Apple phones.

They are all good phones, and its a matter of choice.
But the Apple phone is more secure than the other phones too.

Actually both eye phone and droid are good... got both, one is personal and one is work... only choice for work is eye phone or blackberry, don't like blackberry, last work phone was one. I like some things better on droid and some on eye phone. Neither is easier to figure out. If you can run one phone, you can run both... some web sites want a flash player I don't have access to on eye phone... other than that, no real complaints on either one... :)
