I have a 2004 Road King Classic with the standard Dunlop D402 that came with the bike. I have heard some good info on the Avon Venom tire, but would like some input.
    Thanks!

Went from Dunlop to Avon Venom's on mine several years ago, and refuse to go back.

IMO, Avon's are simply the best out there. You will probably get more mileage out of the Dunlop though.

Avons stick better than most for sure.

I've run Dunlops, Continentals, and now Michelins....The Michelin Commanders are by far the best yet.

The soft compounds of the Metzeler and Avons has me concerned they won't last very long. The Commanders are a tire designed for HEAVY bikes and has the highest sidewall load rating I've found.
