That had to be tough letting go of your ol' panhead. I'm sure the new owner will take good care of it and restore it to it's former glory . . . .

You got a heck of a lot more than mine.
You just burn it up in cigs.
    I don't smoke so I save that money. You can't quit:rant:

Chucktx had a 65 Panhead he rode for ever
I had a 64 panhead I rode for ever, just didn't own it as long as he did.
    His was elec start.
    Mine was kick start.
Chucktx was a Electra Glide, the 1st year.
Mine was a Duo Glide .
Mine had engine work done by the Indy shop I got it from, The gears in the tranny had been changed too. It still had the linkert carb on it too.
Before I sold it. I had the engine gone threw, tranny, forks, new battery. Painted the whole bike.
It was however still on a 6 volt system.

I ran a buddy back in the 70's on a 1000 cc sportster. He couldn't keep up with the panhead.
Evertime I hit 110mph, it would break the speedometer on it.
I had a spare. I had to have the INdy shop to send it off and it cost 125.00 to get it fixed.
