Its tough being a Clipper fan

Its always been rough being a Clipper fan in LA but this weekend's events made that even harder for fans. The fact that their owner has always been a douchebag is nothing new. My wife is a longtime Clipper fan and we already had tickets for next Tuesday's game 5 before all of this crap hit the fan. We'll be their supporting our team and it will be interesting to see if the team can focus amid the distraction.

LA has a history of sports owner strife; McCourt ran the Dodgers into bankruptcy and Sterling has been a piece of $hit for decades. Then Jerry Buss dies and his kids begin the same downward spiral with the Lakers. With any luck Sterling will hit the bricks and we can get the same kind of ownership that cares about their fan base like what the Dodgers have done after ousting McCourt.

In the morning we will hear what the commission does. We'll be at the game tomorrow night supporting our team, hopefully there will be a game to watch.

The Portland Trail Blazers has a pretty good owner with Paul Allen (one of the Microsoft founders) and has a terrific and loyal fan base. Were ahead 3 games to one in the first round of the playoffs.
I think the Clippers owner is pretty much done. Had he been a black owner and made a racial comment against whites I firmly believe nothing would have been said, it's the times we live in, in today's society.

Right, probably not the worst thing he has ever said, but when handed the ammunition it became the perfect opportunity that everyone was waiting for to finally nail him. This has been building for years and is probably more familiar to those of us in Southern California which was why the national attention was so surprising... but we'll take it any way we can.

Basketball related, we are rooting for the Trail Blazers as well. Would love to see a third round Trail Blazers v Clippers in the west.

Speculation is that his soon to be Ex put the GF up to it, along with Magic Johnson because he wants an NBA franchise under his name, and the blacks in the league want another black owner, did you hear the comments that the league is a black league from Larry Johnson of the knicks.

Sterling won't go out without a fight, he'll put up a big fight legally, heck it's worth $700 million to a Billion dollars as a franchise, and as long as they keep winning his value goes up.
