Out at 8 AM and down to my riding bud's in O.C., he rides a BMW.
A start to the day of about 70 miles, a short break to off load some of the mornings coffee and then south on I-405 and I-5 to Ortega Hwy (74).
Over through Elsinore and down I-15 to Temecula where we caught 79 south to Montezuma Valley rd and into Borrego Springs for a lunch break at Carlee's rght by the traffic circle.
Big well made burgers cooked to order and a huge selection of fixin's. I recomend you try the home made potato chips as a side choice. I drink water with most of my meals so it came to about $11.00+tip.
Back on the road we went into the circle and caught Borrego Springs Rd. out to Yaqui Pass Rd. and then onto Hwy 78 west.
We skirted Julian by taking Wynola Rd. then at Santa Ysabel headed orth on 79 again but only as far as Mesa Grande Rd. which we rode around to Pala Rd (76) right by Lake Henshaw.
We took 76 back to I-15 and headed homeward. At Hwy 74 we split up with my buddy riding back into O.C. and myself on to Riverside for a stop for dinner with a friend.
Then the ride down the 91 to the 71 to cut across to I-210 over to the 118 and home again. About 425 miles.
Lots of twisty roads, some good straight roads out where you can twist the beast you're riding's tail, great weather and not a lot of standing around talking, that's what I call a good ride.

Carlee's at Borrego Springs .... I think I seen it but never stopped. I will have to keep that in mind. Everyone loves a $11.00 burger :D

Sounds like life in SoCal - dropping the Beemers off in the OC and then head back to the low life up the hill :D

Good ride. Post some pics next time.

I'd do more pics myself but I'm still looking for that left handed camera

Once in a while I remember to put my camera in my pocket, the problem then is remembering to pull it out or taking the time away from riding to take pics.
