2006 1200C Sportser, supposedly been fitted by suplying dealer with Headquarters XL CV40 jet kit. Removed carb and both jets have absolutely no markings, none at all, no size no nothing. How do I size them to know what size they actually are?

The idle plug was removed, had to destroy the float bowl screws to get them undone, replaced with allen bolt type, and the fuel line was connected to the tank with a spring clip, which you destroy to remove, and not a worm drive hose clamp?

    Cheers

Float bowl screw replacement is normal, the stock screws are soft and suck.

Plug removed is to set the idle air mix, normal for a stage 1. Seat it LIGHTLY the back out about 1.5 to 2 turns.

As for jet sizes there are drill bits that are availalble that match up to the sizes, check with a local indy shop they might be able to check the size and give you an idea for starting. I'd go back to CV Jets from HD.

That is really strange, I wouldn't trust anything with unmarked jets. Without knowing the size you have nothing to gauge on when tuning.

Those crimp clamps are factory and basically meant for one-time use which is why I always throw a set of regular clamps in my kits. Same goes for those bowl screws, basically a single-use item so I replace them with stainless steel screws.
